Determination of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious 

Jakarta, tvkito.com,Sunday  March 30th,2025,- The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has determined that Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri falls on Monday, March 31st , 2025.

This decision was announced in the Isbat Session, led by the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, and attended by the leadership of Commission VIII of the DPR, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance, and representatives of other Islamic mass organizations, Saturday (March 29th,2025) last night.This determination is based on the results of monitoring the crescent moon carried out in 33 locations throughout Indonesia. 

From the results of rukyatul hilal, it is known that the position of the crescent moon is still below the horizon and does not meet the criteria of MABIMS (Minister of Religious Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore). 

Therefore, the month of Ramadan was completed with 30 days, so that 1 Shawwal 1446 H fell on March 31st,  2025. 

This decision was taken to ensure uniformity in the implementation of Eid al-Fitr for all Muslims in Indonesia. In this way, people can prepare to celebrate Eid with great solemnity and togetherness.(Jun).
